Oregon Wedding
Historical Inspirational
Henrietta Kuder was born in Chicago and thrust into Oregon Territory. Now,
she's being stalked by Deldene, a man obsessed with having her; a man insane
enough to attempt murder...
When Sam Conner rides into Rietta's life with a jangle of spurs and a rugged
western build, he brings a quiet faith and common-sense approach to her
struggles.
But Sam's love may not be enough to free her from Deldene's tormenting grasp.
Rietta must overcome not only her own fears, but the fears of those in
Williamsburg who see her as a threat-a single woman without a husband-and one
who dares to do business with the hated Chinese miners and their families.

I loved this book.
Cher. L. Tom caught the life of a single person in a rural America perfectly. Living alone for ten years in three hours from civilization put me in some of the same situations. The reality depicted, and the true human emotions and conflict made this story a page turner for me.
The ending is quick and painless, not an endless barrage of horrid events leading to the relief of the end of the book. Nothing is expected, from the Indian attack to the ways God helps he overcome every challenge.
For those who like their historical novels 'correct'. Cher did her research and took bits and pieces from history to create her novel.
