...A truly amazing plot. Sword Across Time demonstrates a unique attention to character development and storyline. Tamara and Gavin are people the reader can identify with and enjoy. Tamara wants a life that is ruled by logic and rules, yet her current situation teaches her that everything is not black and white. Her struggle to believe in what she cannot understand was well written and believable. Gavin is an excellent compliment to Tamara. He has no problem accepting that magic and mischief exist in his world. He has a much harder time accepting Tamara's needs for structure. His craving for Tamara was hot, but his desire to understand her as well made him an incomparable hero. The mystery surrounding the battle between Merlin and Nimue grabs your attention immediately. Ms. Collins keeps you enthralled with her characters until the very end. The main story, in addition to the subplots and twists and turns that combine the two ensure that the reader will be turning pages as quickly as possible to see just how these heroes and these sorcerers resolve their present dilemmas and create a future for themselves.

SWORD ACROSS TIME is a rich with ancient Arthurian legends, aspects of the Wiccan religion, and the passion brought on by undeniable love. I read with rapt attention Ms. Collins' interpretation of the legend of King Arthur, Merlin, and the Sword Excalibur. Her artistry with words gives depth and meaning to, not only her character's lives, but the landscape as well. In SWORD ACROSS TIME, Catherine Collins has proven that the pen is mightier than the sword, even if it is Excalibur, and given us a love story strong enough to reach across time. I look forward to the next book from Ms. Collins' pen, or should I say sword.

...SWORD ACROSS TIME is a whole new outlook on the whole Arthurian legend. Catherine Anne Collins has done a fantastic job of having the reader discover the legend, through the main characters reading the journals. There are many times in the story when you just want to shake Tamara due to her trying to explain everything away by logic. This story has a rich feel to it; in how we're drawn into the past events and how and why they occurred. I highly recommend SWORD ACROSS TIME to all lovers of Arthurian lore.

...If you remember the NBC miniseries, Merlin, you'll appreciate Sword Across Time...The mother-daughter texture, as well as the conflict of Old Ways versus Christianity and Tamara's logic, add layers to the genre mastered by Mary Stewart and Marion Zimmer Bradley...The sword, like love and spirituality, can be used for good or for ill. Collins uses the Arthurian tradition to spin a soulful, electrifying tale that leaves you spellbound.

...Sword Across Time, although starting out a little slowly, has a wonderful
plot based on Arthurian legend. It was a nice twist expanding on Merlin and
the Lady of the Lake. Tamara and Gavin work very well together with an
underlying tension of attraction between them. As the plot around the
paranormal activity thickens Tamara's need for the logical explanation of
things gets in the way of her true sight. You just want to shake some sense
into her. Catherine Collins also gives some very well developed supporting
characters. The emotions and fears of each come to life as the plot plays
out.

There is no shorter way I could see to write the synopsis for this book and still relay all the reader needs to know to understand exactly what is going on. There are a few sections that go a bit slow, but the action is arranged in a way that will hold your attention throughout the story. All fans of Merlin, the Lady of the Lake, and anything to do with King Arthur, will be utterly delighted in this magical tale brought to life in a way that only Catherine Anne Collins can do. If you do not believe in magic, you just may by the time you finish this novel. Beautiful!
