Liberty O’Neill has the perfect life until her
mother’s death leaves her alone and without the
work the two women dearly love, running a
daycare center for special needs children. To
Liberty, still reeling from losing all she loves,
it seems perfectly natural to be led by her
mother’s spirit and to answer the classified ad for
someone to help teach and care for a sick child.
What Libby doesn’t know is that she must live in a
spooky Victorian mansion with the girl and her
handsome but mysterious father.
Nick Valerick is not the sort of man to look
in the classified ads for solutions to his personal
problems—until the morning he awakes from a
deep sleep with that very idea planted in his
mind. Nor is he a man likely to fall in love with
his daughter’s gypsy-like young teacher. In fact,
lately he feels his entire life is being overtaken
by forces out of his control.
A haunted house? Libby never holds much
stock in ghosts until she moves into the mansion.
Soon she learns there is an evil presence in the
house, but is it human or spirit?
Whispers in the Dark is a story of mystery and intrigue, of the paranormal, and of making right a wrong. Libby will be the catalyst for finding the truth as to what happened to the Valerick family. Nick has come face to face with the one woman who seeks to reunite father and daughter and avenge those that were tragically killed. This story, although being of the unexplained, is a wonderful and thoroughly intriguing story, one of hope, happiness and finally closure.
