So muses Callie Donovan who, after staging her own death in order to escape an abusive marriage, finds herself in the notorious western town of Tombstone, Arizona.

Callie is catapulted one hundred years into the past and into the arms of Black Jack MacCafferty--crime-fighting, gun-toting, heart-stopping lawman straight out of the Old West. He must save her life in more ways than one. She must teach him to love again, and, in the process, learn herself. The question is if their love can withstand the ultimate test of time.
