The moment Shaelyn McBride discovered her aunt had passed away, it became the bewitching hour in more ways than one.  Things began happening to her, mysterious physical things, along with a compulsion to leave the country.  What was it about Ireland that drew her body and soul?  What was causing her life, her mind and body to zing suddenly out of control?

When Moody Donal Finnerty awoke, he knew he was in terrible trouble.  The eyes of the woman standing over him told all he needed to know about her witching ancestry.  He wanted no part of this beauty, but how else was he to get back all that belonged to him?  She was at the bottom of his recent affliction, and by all that's holy, she'd cure him of it and fulfill the agreement due his family.

Reviews
I loved A Call To Magic. The magical parts reminded me of the TV witches I grew up with, but the similarity ended there.
Hidden in all the magic and humor was a deep story of reemergence for a girl whose parents were alcoholics. With the help of her wonderful, kindly Irish Aunt Moira, she learned to believe in herself and strengthen her self-image.

On her arrival in Ireland, Shaelyn's plans for renewal are thwarted by a handsome neighbor with a problem, and it seems Donal's problem and her renewal are linked by a coat-of-arms which they both wear on chain around their necks. Symbolizing, to this reviewer, the ties that bind us and the chains that hold us back.

Once these two get close physically, the sparks fly. You'll be positively thrilled reading their sensuous and endearing story. I know I did, and stayed up through the witching hour to finish it.

This whimsical, delightful romance had just one tiny problem--it was too short!

"Very highly recommended!"
With a marvelous leap of imagination, Lee Emory's A CALL TO MAGIC creates a
magical world of talismans, spells, and love. The outrageous antics of
interfering "guardian angels" who create the talisman and periodically pop
in with adroit comments lends this tale an outrageous playfulness. Lee Emory
spins a magical romance that will provide much pleasure to fans of something
a bit different. These are warm, caring characters that are highly
believable. Indeed, the tale lures and beguiles the reader with its rich
imagination and humor. Very highly recommended.
